My husband can be really sweet sometimes

My husband tried to do something nice for me today. He didn't really understand what I wanted, but he wanted to do something, so he did. I should be really happy that I got more than I asked for, but really I just wanted something small to know that he was listening.

He's kind of weird. Half the time he can't seem to make up his mind about anything. Other times he seems to do things without thinking at all.

I'm trying to decide if I should go out of town with him tomorrow.

I want to go. And it's not very far away. And it's a place that I was just thinking that I like to go to in December.

But the thing that I wanted to do there actually has to wait until December. And if I went we'd be coming back on Wednesday, which is the worst day of the year to be on the road. The rest stops and gas stations will be very crowded. (I'm sure this means nothing to the guys, but women tend to find this inconvenient.)

Anyway, if I don't write anything tomorrow or the next day, it's because I went out of town and the supposedly free internet access didn't work again.

1. I hit the next blog button.

2. I am glad you eat them if you kill them. But it does seem like a lot of trouble for very little reward. Going out, getting cold, possibly falling into the lake, etc.... I have never really understood the whole go out and shoot Bambi thing, but at least when you get done you have something to eat for a while. But wood ducks? They're so tiny. That thing that the Cratchit family was going to have to eat before Scrooge bought them a proper turkey was probably a wood duck. Do you go to remember the good old days when you went out with your dad to shoot at things or what?

3. Since the point is to eat something, what's wrong with easy? I'm thinking that you probably spent more money on bullets than I spent on the turkey. Do ducks really taste better than turkeys or what?

4. I don't suppose I really care that much, I was just making coversation. I found your blog right after I was reading this vegetarian thing. They all had valid points, but I just haven't decided to join them yet. And then I'm leaving comments about voting and such, and then there's this nice Christian guy blogging about how he's looking forward to shooting at little bitty wood ducks who probably aren't bothering anybody, so I was just wondering what was the point.
