New TV

That is, there is now new American TV.

Since I forgot to remind my friends that Prison Break and Bones both started their new seasons last week, I will now remind everyone that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles will have new episodes starting tomorrow, and the new show Fringe starts Tuesday.

Come back Tuesday and Wednesday and tell me what you think.

Loved the Samson and Delilah song at the beginning of the Sarah Connor episode.

But later on, I would have expected the Cameron model to be banged up more or limping after being the meat in a truck sandwich.

Cameron in a sandwich. That's all you guys think about, isn't it?

Thank you. Maybe that image will help counteract "Fringe"-inspired nightmares tonight.

Yeah...the vehicle goes up in a fireball, and Cameron has only a few cuts? No singed hair or skin? And no real damage to her clothes? Whatever fabric the clothes are made of, Sarah Connor should mass-produce it. She could easily become a millionaire.

I expected her to be a walking metal skeleton who would need an episode or two to rebuild her outer layers. Silly me. I guess that much realism would've blown the SFX budget.

It would also cause a long unexplained absense from school, which would attract attention, which would be bad, etc....

I think the next episode looks very interesting. But I'm a fan at this point, and they all look interesting.

Not only was the scenario implausible, it was flatly inconsistent. We've seen John cut Cameron's scalp with a simple knife. We've seen objects rip into Cromartie's skull. The robots' exteriors aren't much tougher than ours. The explosion should've incinerated Cameron's skin and hair.
